Globber – Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Globber (“the App”), operated by sebastiencs, based in France.

By using Globber, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Legally capable of entering a binding agreement

Globber is not intended for minors.

3. Your Account

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Keep your password confidential
  • Be responsible for all actions linked to your account

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use & Zero-Tolerance Policy

Globber has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior.

Any user who violates these rules will face immediate action, including content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

You agree not to:

  • Use the App illegally or to harm others
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, or intimidate other users
  • Upload offensive, violent, or sexually explicit content
  • Share hate speech, discrimination, or content promoting violence
  • Impersonate others or create fake/misleading accounts
  • Post spam, scams, or fraudulent content
  • Share personal information of others without consent
  • Attempt to hack, manipulate, or reverse-engineer the App
  • Engage in any behavior that violates the rights of others

Enforcement:

  • We actively monitor reports of abusive behavior
  • Users can report inappropriate content and block abusive users
  • Violations will result in immediate account suspension or termination
  • We may report illegal activity to law enforcement authorities
  • We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion

5. User-Generated Content

You may submit:

  • Profile info
  • Photos
  • Messages
  • Challenge content
  • Activity descriptions

Your Responsibilities:

  • You are solely responsible for any content you post
  • Content must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy (Section 4)
  • You must have the right to share any photos or content you upload
  • You must not post content that infringes on others' rights

Our Rights:

You retain ownership of your content.
You grant us a license to store and display it within the App.

We reserve the right to:

  • Review and moderate user-generated content
  • Remove content that violates these Terms
  • Suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations

Content Moderation:

  • Users can report inappropriate content using in-app tools
  • We review reports and take appropriate action
  • Repeat offenders will be permanently banned

6. Location Features

Globber uses precise GPS only to:

  • Display nearby activities and challenges

Other users never see your exact location.
They only see approximate distance (e.g., “5 km away”).

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Payments and subscriptions are processed via RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play.

Refunds must be requested through:

  • Apple App Store
  • Google Play Store

We do not store payment details.

8. Intellectual Property

All branding, designs, and features belong to sebastiencs.
You may not copy or reproduce the App.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account using the in-app "Delete Account" button.

Upon deletion:

  • Your profile is removed
  • Photos are deleted
  • Messages are deleted or anonymized
  • Authentication data is permanently removed

Backups may retain technical copies temporarily.

10. Termination by Us

We may suspend or delete accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Abuse platform features
  • Engage in fraud or harmful behavior

11. Third-Party Services

Globber uses:

  • Supabase (database, auth, storage)
  • PostHog (analytics)
  • RevenueCat (payments)
  • Sentry (crash reporting)
  • Expo / Push notifications
  • Mapbox / Google Maps (maps & geolocation)

These providers have access only as needed to operate the App.

12. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • User-generated content
  • Issues caused by meeting users in real life
  • Interruptions or errors in the App

Use the App at your own risk.

13. No Safety Guarantees

We do not:

  • Verify users’ identities
  • Guarantee safety of in-person meetings
  • Monitor all content in real time

Use caution when meeting others.

14. Modifications to the Service

We may add, remove, or update features at any time.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.
Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law.
Disputes will be resolved in French courts.
